Lahore: The third spell of monsoon rains is continuing vigorously across Punjab, and the Meteorological Department has said that these rains will continue till July 17. Rains are likely in most parts of the province in the next 24 hours.

Director General of PDMA Punjab Irfan Ali Kathia said that most of the rivers and streams of the province are flowing at normal levels; however, there is moderate flooding at the Taunsa point of the Indus River, in which the water flow is recorded at 426,000 cusecs.

The situation of Chenab, Ravi, Jhelum, Sutlej, and Rajanpur Hill Torrents is under control. A high level of floodwater is flowing through Vidor Rudkohi in Dera Ghazi Khan, due to which the district administration and rescue agencies are on alert.
