Pakistan Stock Market Ends Week with Negative Trend

Investors had some tough weeks ahead at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) with the market at large under pressure and the KSE 100 Index slipping through the week.

The weekly data shows that the KSE 100 Index was down by 6,438 points and ended at 175,802 points. These have been volatile times, and investors have taken a conservative approach, resulting in a general sell-off trend in the majority of sessions.

The market continued to be volatile throughout the trading week, and the KSE 100 Index ranged between 7,780 and 7,798 points. During this period, the maximum level of the index was 181,148 points, and the minimum level of the index was 173,349 points.

Many economic and other financial reasons affected the investors during the week, which resulted in selling pressure as compared to buying, according to the market experts. But next week, the economic data, corporate earnings and other key events will be at the top of investors’ agenda, and they can make a big difference in market direction, analysts say.

The overall trend for the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) was negative this week, but the market experts indicate that the future will be based on the economic conditions of the country, the investors’ confidence and new economic news.
