A significant drop in the price of gold has been recorded in Pakistan, after which the rate per tola has reached Rs 400,000 37,836. This decrease in the price of gold may attract the attention of consumers who are waiting for a change in prices to buy jewelry or invest in gold.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, gold has become cheaper by Rs 3,000 per tola in the country. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs 2,572, after which the new price became Rs 375,373.
This decrease in prices has come at a time when gold prices have also come down in the global market. The price of gold per ounce in the international market has decreased by $ 30 to $ 4,153. Changes in global prices also affect Pakistan’s gold market, although local prices are not determined only on the basis of global prices.
In addition to the global market trend, the value of the rupee against the dollar and the situation in the local gold market also affect gold prices in Pakistan. That is why the amount of change in local rates may vary despite the decrease in international prices.
For ordinary consumers, a decrease in the price of gold can reduce the cost of purchasing jewelry, however, the final amount also includes making charges, design and other costs. Therefore, it is important to know the additional cost along with the price per tola when buying jewelry from a store.
The latest price change is also important for those who invest in gold, but a decrease of just one day should not be considered a permanent trend. Prices may increase or decrease again due to the direction of prices in the global market, currency values and economic conditions.
Consumers should confirm the latest rate from the local bullion market before deciding to buy or sell, as the price of jewellery and additional costs may differ at different stores.
