PSL 11: Multan Sultans Dominate Islamabad United; Peshawar Zalmi Chase 214 in Thriller

Cricket fans are getting to see thrilling matches one after another in Pakistan Super League 11, where, on one hand, Multan Sultans defeated Islamabad United with a brilliant performance, while, on the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Rawalpindi Pindis in a high-scoring thriller.

In the fourth match played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Multan Sultans won the toss and invited Islamabad United to bat. United scored 171 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, in which Mark Chapman stood out with 40 runs while Sameer Minhas scored 28 runs. Devon Conway and Faheem Ashraf also played innings of 26 runs each.

For Multan, Momin Qamar took 3 wickets and kept the opposing team under pressure. In reply, Multan Sultans achieved the target of 172 runs in the 19th over for the loss of 5 wickets. Josh Phillipe played a brilliant innings of 55 runs while captain Ashton Turner remained unbeaten on 43 runs.

On the other hand, in another thrilling match played at the same ground, Rawalpindi Pindiz scored a huge total of 214 runs while batting first. Yasir Khan played a brilliant innings of 83 runs while captain Muhammad Rizwan scored 41 runs.

In reply, Peshawar Zalmi showed aggressive batting, where captain Babar Azam scored 39 and Muhammad Haris scored 47 runs to give the team a strong start.

The match was decided in the last over when Abdul Samad, Michael Bracewell and Aamir Jamal batted aggressively and achieved the seemingly impossible target. Zalmi completed the target of 215 runs for the loss of 5 wickets and claimed a memorable match of the event.

Both of these competitions have made the ongoing Pakistan Super League season even more exciting, with thrills, drama and spectacular cricket to be seen in every match.
