Internet service in Pakistan likely to be affected

Internet users in Pakistan may once again face possible disruption in service as Natel has announced repair work on submarine cable.

According to the company, the repair will begin at 2 pm on January 15 and may continue for eight hours. During this time, there is a possibility of delays in internet connection, reduction in speed and temporary shutdown in some areas.

Natel has clarified that although data will be transmitted through alternative routes, users may face slower than usual speeds due to limited capacity.

Submarine cables are the main source of international data connectivity in Pakistan Online education, freelancing, digital banking, and business activities rely on these same cables, so the effects of any technological disruption are felt immediately.
