Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has taken a tough stance on relations and agreements with the US, calling US President Donald Trump’s signature unreliable.

According to Iranian state media, in his latest statement, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei said that repeated violations of agreements with Iran have reinforced the impression that the promises and signatures made by the US leadership cannot be trusted.

He said the recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) also confirmed his position that the written promises made by the US administration have lost their practical significance.

The Iranian Supreme Leader criticized US policies, accusing Washington of using force, hegemony and pressure, which hinders the establishment of mutual trust.

During his speech, he once again called the US the “Great Satan”, saying that past experiences, violations of agreements and recent developments have further highlighted the uncertain and unreliable policies of the US, according to him.

There was no immediate official response from US officials to the statement. According to analysts, such statements could affect diplomatic relations between the two countries in the context of the already existing tension between Iran and the US, but future progress will depend on practical steps by both sides.
