Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was celebrated with religious devotion and respect across the country. Mosques, houses, markets and major highways in various cities including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Peshawar, were decorated with electric lights and green flags. Milad gatherings, Naat recitations and processions were also held at various places.
In Lahore, illuminations were lit up in various areas on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). Important government buildings and other places were also illuminated. Milad processions and gatherings were held in the city. The administration and police took special measures to maintain security and traffic flow during the gatherings.
In Karachi, different areas were also decorated with lights and green flags on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). Three main processions were taken out in the city. One main procession left from Shaheed Masjid Kharadar at 2:30 pm. The procession passed through New Memon Mosque and ended at Gulzar Habib Mosque at Asr.
Special arrangements were made for traffic on some important roads due to processions in Karachi. The police deployed thousands of personnel to protect religious gatherings and processions.
In Islamabad, different parts of the city were also decorated for the celebration of Milad-un-Nabi (peace be upon him). The main procession started from Jamia Masjid-ul-Rida Ji Seon and ended at the Darbar Sakhi Mahmood Badshah in Aabpara through designated routes. Police personnel were deployed along the route of the procession.
Milad gatherings and processions were also held in Peshawar. Tributes were paid to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) in Naat Khawani gatherings. The authorities made special security arrangements along the procession routes and at important places.
Mosques, streets and markets were also decorated in other cities of the country. Durood-e-Salaam, Naat Khawani and Milad gatherings were organised in different areas. Citizens also offered special prayers on this occasion for the peace, security and prosperity of the country.
The President and the Prime Minister also urged the nation to make the teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) a part of practical life. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif particularly emphasised mercy, justice, tolerance, unity, and service to others.
