The Interior Minister ordered strict action against the agent mafia involved in human trafficking, saying that those who deceive innocent citizens and send them abroad do not deserve any concession. He said that the business of fake medicines is a serious threat to human lives, and those involved in this heinous business should be brought to justice.

During the meeting, FIA officials briefed the meeting and said that 20 agents involved in human trafficking were arrested during the last four months, while non-customs products and drugs worth Rs 140 million were seized.

According to experts, effective action against money laundering and hawala hundi will not only stabilise the country’s economy but will also improve Pakistan’s global image.

The meeting was also informed about the Facilitation Center established at Karachi Airport for the convenience of passengers. Finally, the Interior Minister asked for performance reports of various circles and directed the officers to work more diligently and responsibly.
