Global oil prices fell slightly on Friday as investors weighed Middle East tensions, oil supply risks and the potential impact of US policy on sanctioned ships.
Brent crude futures fell, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) also fell, according to reports. Earlier, a significant decline in US crude inventories had supported prices.
A possible easing of restrictions on the Shadow Fleet by the US government could affect oil transportation capacity and shipping costs. However, concerns about risks and supply disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz remain.
