PSX 100 Index in the band of 4,915 points in the business week, market capitalization increased by Rs 146 billion

The business week at the Pakistan Stock Exchange was overall volatile, where investors appeared to be trading cautiously. The Benchmark 100 Index moved in the band of 4,915 points throughout the week.

According to market data, the index recorded a weekly high of 162,118 points, while the low was 157,203 points, indicating that investors were waiting for the announcement of a new economic direction.

According to the data, 3.84 billion shares were traded during the week, worth Rs 177 billion. Despite the increase in trading volume, the market trend remained mixed.

The most important development was that the overall investment value of the market improved significantly, where market capitalisation increased by Rs 146 billion and the total value increased to Rs 18,433 billion.

According to market experts, economic announcements and global financial news will determine the direction of the market next week as well.
