Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while meeting a delegation of a major UAE business group, said that Pakistan’s digital economy is emerging as an attractive opportunity for Emirati investors. Welcoming the delegation, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan-UAE relations have transformed from mere diplomatic ties to a strong economic partnership, which will provide a foundation for shared growth for both countries in the future.

He said that after the recent visit of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Pakistan, a new momentum has been gained in bilateral cooperation, which has resulted in trust and stability in the investment environment. According to the Prime Minister, the Government of Pakistan attaches key importance to the role of the private sector and wants to build the economy on a sustainable basis through business-to-business cooperation.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said that sectors such as IT, digital services, fintech, energy and infrastructure in Pakistan are providing exceptional opportunities for foreign investors. He said that the government is introducing investor-friendly policies to make foreign investment safe, transparent and profitable. During the meeting, the Emirati delegation expressed confidence in Pakistan’s economic policies and expressed interest in increasing investment in the future.

The Prime Minister said on the occasion that the growing economic cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE is not only bringing the two economies closer but is also playing an important role in stability and development in the region. At the end of the meeting, both sides reiterated their commitment to further expand cooperation and advance practical partnership.
