PTI announces to keep the path of negotiations open, confirming the long march on September 27

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gauhar Ali Khan has said that the party has never refused talks and political contacts, but the political struggle will continue if there is no progress on basic demands.

Speaking to the media outside the parliament, Barrister Gauhar said that consultations have been held on the political situation in the meetings of the PTI leadership and the parliamentary party. According to him, the party has continued to make efforts for reconciliation to move matters forward through talks.

He said that if there is no progress on political demands and grievances are not redressed, it will be difficult to demand an end to the protest. According to him, issues related to the implementation of court orders, meetings and treatment also need to be resolved.

Barrister Gauhar said that political differences in a democratic system can be resolved through practical steps and negotiations. According to him, if the state wants to reduce political tension, such measures are necessary that will make the PTI believe that its demands are being seriously considered.

He also confirmed the long march to be held on September 27 and said that the protest will be peaceful. According to Barrister Gohar, PTI workers will march towards Islamabad, and the party will try to maintain a peaceful atmosphere during the protest.

The PTI chairman said that there is a series of contacts between the government and the party, and the path of reconciliation is still not closed. He also expressed reservations over some measures regarding the women of the family of the founder of PTI and party workers.

Barrister Gohar said that despite political differences, the people have the right to participate in political activities and the democratic process. He said that PTI will continue its political struggle until justice and progress are made on basic demands.
