KMI-30 Index Falls 3035 Points, Investors’ Billions Sink
Today was a ‘Red Friday’ in the Pakistan Stock Market, where the KMI-30 Index suddenly fell by more than 3 thousand points. At the end of the business day,business day, the index closed at 245,731.79 after a decrease of 1.22 per cent.
The companies that hurt the market the most today were Engro, Meezan Bank, PPL (PPL), MARI (MARI) and OGDC (OGDC). On the other hand, Millat Tractors (MTL) and Attock Refinery (ATRL) tried to support the index by adding 46.24 and 31.46 points, respectively.
In total, more than 184 million shares were traded. Investors were uneasy as the index has fallen 1.13% so far this year.
