Regional trade is the need of the hour in the global uncertainty.

Washington: Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that it has become imperative to promote regional trade in view of the changing global situation and the differential impact on different countries. Speaking at a discussion of the International Monetary Fund, he stressed that to keep the economy on the path of growth, we have to diversify sectors and markets. Senator Aurangzeb said that it is necessary to move the country’s economy from the basis of import substitution to export-led development.

He said that the information technology sector can truly become a game changer of the economy; taking advantage of its full potential is the need of the hour.
