Pakistan Stock Market Increases 1827 Points Weekly, Investors’ Confidence Restored

Karachi: The business week at the Pakistan Stock Exchange ended with an overall positive trend. Investor confidence was restored, due to which the 100 Index recorded a significant increase of 1827 points, and the index closed at 141034 points.

This week, the index saw fluctuations in the band of 3524 points; however, it also touched the highest level of 141160 points, which is a sign of a sustainable recovery in the market.

On a weekly basis, 2.80 billion shares were traded, while the turnover was Rs 179 billion. Market capitalization also increased by Rs 218 billion, taking the total value to Rs 16,906 billion.

According to experts, stability in interest rates, improvement in economic indicators, and recent contacts with the IMF have led to an increase in investor confidence.
