Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expresses condolences on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, announces solidarity with Iran

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his message on the social networking website X (formerly Twitter), has expressed deep sorrow and regret over the martyrdom of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The Prime Minister said that the government and people of Pakistan stand with the Iranian people in this hour of grief and offer heartfelt condolences on the martyrdom of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. He said that this is a great loss not only for Iran but also for the entire Muslim world.

PM Shahbaz Sharif also expressed concern over the violation of international laws in his statement and said that targeting heads of state is against international norms. He said that such actions could further escalate tensions in the region and pose a threat to peace and stability.

The Prime Minister prayed for the departed soul and said that may Allah Almighty grant the Iranian people the courage and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
