Unannounced gas load management begins in Lahore and Punjab

There have been reports of unannounced gas load management beginning in various cities of Punjab, including Lahore, due to which consumers are facing difficulties in gas supply in many areas.

According to sources, Sui Northern Gas Company has not yet issued any regular load shedding schedule, however, gas pressure has been reduced at different times.

Officials say that gas supply is being prioritized during Sehri and Iftar times during Ramadan, while the pressure is being kept low during the rest of the time.
According to them, due to the reduction in gas pressure, domestic consumers, especially in densely populated areas, may face disruption in gas supply.

Sui Northern officials said that the supply of RLNG has decreased significantly and this quantity has reduced from about 800 million cubic feet to 200 million cubic feet.
Officials say that the situation will be reassessed after Eid and the future strategy will be decided accordingly.
