The Draft of ‘Safe Punjab Act 2025’ Has been Prepared


Lahore: The Punjab Home Department has prepared a draft of the “Safe Punjab Act 2025,” under which any person can be taken into protective custody for 90 days for the sake of law and order. If the custody period is more than 3 months, it must be approved by the Provincial Review Board. The board will be formed by the Chiefce of the Lahore High Court, which will include current or former judges.

The move is aimed at improving the security situation in the province and ensuring public safety.
