Action against pollution in Lahore intensified, vehicles without green stickers to be seized after November 15

Due to increasing smog, the Punjab government has taken decisive steps against air pollution. According to the Punjab Environmental Protection Agency, all such vehicles are being banned after November 15 that do not have a green sticker or exhaust testing certificate.

Director General Environment Dr. Imran Hameed Sheikh says that exhaust testing has been made mandatory for every vehicle. According to him, vehicles that do not meet environmental standards will be seized on the spot.

He said that only those vehicles whose smoke is considered safe for the environment will be allowed to ply on the roads. The action of the Environment Agency will be indiscriminate, and no one will get special concessions.

Dr. Imran Hameed has appealed to the citizens to complete the exhaust and noise testing of their vehicles as soon as possible to avoid action.
