BISP 8171 Phase 2 launched, Rs 13,500 payments to new households

The government of Pakistan has officially launched BISP 8171 Phase 2 to reduce the pressure of rising inflation, under which financial assistance of Rs 13,500 is being provided to newly added eligible households. According to officials, the data of the selected families was finalized after complete verification in the last few months.

According to the Social Safety Division, the payments in this phase will be as per the district-wise issued schedule. The beneficiaries can check the opening date of their area through the portal or SMS system. The government has stressed that the disbursement of funds will be completely transparent, direct and without any deductions.

The money will be released only after biometric verification at payment centers, partner banks and campsites. Officials have warned that payment will not be possible in the absence of an identity card.

Eligible families have been instructed to:

  • Go to the payment center on the scheduled date
  • Avoid fake agents
  • Report any fee or deduction demand immediately
  • And keep their NADRA records updated

According to the government, the families included in Phase 2 are those whose verification was completed recently. The payment system has been completely digitalized to reduce errors and delays.
