Cashless economy will eliminate corruption, deserving people will get money at home: Prime Minister

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that moving towards a cashless economy will make it possible to eliminate corruption in the country and the people will get convenience in a transparent manner.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Digital Wallet System under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said that deserving families will now be able to get money sitting at home and transparency has been ensured in this process.

He said that a clause will be included in the program that the children of the family who gets financial assistance should go to school so that along with poverty, ignorance can also be eradicated.

The Prime Minister said that BISP is a wonderful project to eradicate poverty and the digital wallet will prove to be a milestone in making this program more modern and effective. He said that the sooner Pakistan is led towards a cashless economy, the sooner corruption will end.
