Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi has said that the ceasefire between the US and Iran remains intact and the peace process is ongoing.
According to a press release by the Foreign Office, the spokesperson said in response to a question that “the peace process remains intact and it is in place; we are in contact and optimistic.”
He said that taking the peace process forward is primarily the responsibility of the two parties who are playing a central role in this process, while Pakistan, on its part, is in constant contact.
According to the spokesperson, Pakistan continues to support de-escalation and diplomatic efforts in the region and hopes that the parties will resolve the issues through dialogue.
