Decision to start waste-to-energy project in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz

An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on clean energy, in which it was decided to start a waste-to-energy project in Lahore. The meeting discussed various projects for the promotion of clean energy in the province in detail.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister also approved the inclusion of three pilot projects of biogas plants under the Model Village Program. Maryam Nawaz directed the authorities to submit a feasible and comprehensive plan for small biogas plants soon.
The Chief Minister said that Punjab has made significant progress in the field of clean energy and the province has surpassed other regions in this field. He said that alternative sources of energy are the need of the future and the government is taking practical steps in this direction.
