FO Spokesperson Responds to US Allegations About Pakistan Missile Capability

Responding to US allegations, Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi has clarified that Pakistan’s missile program is purely defensive in nature and its purpose is only to protect national sovereignty.

According to the spokesperson, Pakistan’s defence capabilities are not for any aggressive ambitions but to ensure peace and stability in the region. He said that the range of Pakistan’s missile systems is less than the intercontinental level, so the claims about targeting the United States are baseless.

This statement came after a report was presented in the United States Senate Intelligence Committee, in which Pakistan, including other countries, was declared a threat to the United States.

The Foreign Office spokesperson further said that Pakistan wants to see relations with the United States based on mutual respect and reality, and both countries must adopt a responsible attitude.

Pakistan has rejected these allegations and said that its defence programme is completely transparent and maintained balance in the region.
