Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has denied the reports circulating about possible new disruptions or additional reductions in gas supply, clarifying that no new changes have been made in the supply system for consumers and gas supply is continuing as per the pre-arranged arrangements.

According to company officials, some reports gave the impression that gas availability may be further affected due to the current situation, however, such reports are not in line with the facts. They say that no new restrictions or additional load management have been imposed for consumers.

Sui Northern clarified that the force majeure situation declared by Qatar Energy regarding LNG supply in March 2026 is already in place and has been extended from time to time. The latest extension had also been duly communicated to the relevant institutions and stakeholders, so it is not right to interpret it as any new or unusual development.

According to the company, the supply plan is being continuously implemented at the national level, keeping in mind the available gas reserves and imported LNG. In this process, an effective balance is being maintained between local production and imported cargoes under the instructions of the National Coordination and Management Council and the Ministry of Energy so that the needs of various sectors can be met.

Officials said that gas is being provided to domestic consumers, especially during cooking hours, on a priority basis. Along with this, efforts are being made to maintain continuous supply to industrial establishments and the fertilizer manufacturing sector so that there is no disruption in industrial production and economic activities.

The statement further said that special attention is also being paid to providing maximum gas to the power generation sector so that power generation remains stable and the concerns of possible load shedding can be reduced.

Sui Northern has appealed to consumers to prefer authentic statements issued by the company and relevant government agencies rather than relying on unconfirmed reports regarding gas supply. The company says that in the current circumstances, the supply system is being operated as usual and the situation is being continuously monitored.
