Long holidays expected to be announced due to 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal and Defence Day

Lahore: A unique opportunity is coming for the Pakistani people at the beginning of September, when four consecutive days of holidays are expected. This break will not only provide relaxation and entertainment to the citizens but is also likely to have a positive impact on the local economy.

According to sources, the moon of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal is likely to be sighted on August 24, under which a public holiday will be declared on Friday, September 5. The next day, September 6, an official holiday will be given on the occasion of Pakistan Defense Day, while the weekly holidays on Saturday and Sunday will be included in this break, which will consist of four days.

Experts say that such long holidays will also prove beneficial for tourism, hotel industry and entertainment venues, as citizens will turn to travel with their families in large numbers. On the other hand, the transport and food industries are also expected to get more business.
