JUI-F Ameer and parliamentary leader in the National Assembly Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that a constitutional amendment is currently being presented in the lower house, on which the party has decided to oppose after thorough deliberation.
He said that detailed consultations were held on all aspects of the amendment in the parliamentary party meeting, and the members have been clearly instructed to vote against the amendment.
According to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, this amendment is tantamount to an “unnecessary change in the country’s parliamentary system,” and JUI considers it against the national interest.
