Islamabad: The Ministry of Law and Justice has withdrawn the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Amendment Bill, which proposed extending remand periods from 14 to 40 days, following a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Law and Justice chaired by Mahmood Bashir Virk.

During the session, the ministry also revealed plans to link 13 major jails with courts and digitalize all courts in Islamabad while approving five out of 13 proposed projects.
