Opposition Leader Omar Ayub Warns of Wheat Crisis, Dismisses Government’s Claims of Reduced Inflation

Islamabad: Opposition Leader Omar Ayub has criticized the government’s claims of reduced inflation, calling them baseless. During a press conference in Islamabad, Ayub warned of an impending wheat crisis and highlighted the shrinking economy, lack of investment in the IT and telecom sectors, and rising inflation. He accused the government of mismanagement, stating that only 8% of the development budget has been utilized despite the fiscal year nearing its end. Ayub emphasized that the country is heading towards economic devastation, with industries stagnating and wheat prices set to rise due to low production.
