PAC Chairman Junaid Akbar resigns, PTI members leave parliamentary committees

Islamabad: The series of resignations from parliamentary committees has intensified in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Junaid Akbar has submitted his resignation to Chief Whip Aamir Dogar.

According to sources, this move came after the decision of PTI’s political committee, which directed party members to separate from the committees. Junaid Akbar has confirmed that he has resigned in accordance with party policy.

Meanwhile, MNA Ali Asghar has also sent his resignation from the National Assembly’s standing committees to the Speaker, while the party’s central spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram has also sent his resignation to the Speaker.

According to party sources, PTI has decided to resign en masse from parliamentary committees, the official message of which was conveyed by the founder PTI through Aleema Khan.
