Pakistan Stock Exchange recovers; the 100 index reaches 148,596 points

Karachi: A positive trend prevailed on the last day of the trading week at the Pakistan Stock Exchange. After a day of volatility, the market recovered due to increased buying by investors and the 100 index closed at 1,48,596 points.

During Friday, the market reached a high of 1,48,782 points at one point, while the index also touched a low of 1,47,488 points. Yesterday, trading closed at 1,47,343 points.

The stock market remained under continuous pressure throughout the week and the index fell to the level of 1,47,000. However, the increase in investor interest on the last day proved to be encouraging for the market.
According to economic analysts, the current recovery indicates that investors are expecting an improvement in the economy in the near future.
