Pakistan’s major diplomatic role, US-Iran tensions intensify efforts with China and Saudi Arabia

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, has said that Pakistan is playing an important diplomatic role to reduce the growing tension between the US and Iran, which includes other partner countries including China, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

He said that the current stalemate has not only affected the global energy supply but has also created risks for various economies. In this situation, Pakistan is playing an active role for stability in the region and the world.

According to Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Pakistan fully believes in diplomacy, and the US will continue to take all possible steps for a peaceful resolution of the Iran conflict. He expressed his determination that Pakistan will continue its efforts to de-escalate tensions and establish lasting peace.

Analysts say that these diplomatic efforts by Pakistan have come at a time when concerns of a global energy crisis are growing and major powers are looking for a way to resolve the dispute.

Pakistan maintains that dialogue is the only solution to problems, and all parties must come to the negotiating table for peace and stability in the region.
