Peace in the region is not possible without a just solution to the Kashmir dispute, Ishaq Dar

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that a just solution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute is essential for lasting peace in South Asia.

Addressing the “Fight for Truth” ceremony, he warned India that any aggressive action against Pakistan will be met with a befitting reply.

Ishaq Dar said that peace in the region is possible only through equality, mutual respect and peaceful resolution of disputes.

He added that Pakistan has always supported dialogue and diplomacy, but there will be no compromise on the country’s sovereignty and security.

According to the Foreign Minister, India will have to take serious and positive steps to reduce tensions in the region.

Analysts say that Pakistan has once again described the Kashmir issue as important for regional peace.
