Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, in his statement issued on the completion of one year of the “struggle for truth”, said that Pakistan’s success was the result of national unity, mutual cooperation of state institutions and trust in the leadership.
He said that the solidarity shown by the nation in difficult circumstances further strengthened Pakistan’s position. According to him, the political and military leadership effectively confronted the situation through a coordinated strategy.
Talal Chaudhry, while describing the role of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir as important, said that both leaders took key decisions in matters of national security, which laid the foundation for the success in the struggle for truth.
He said that this success is the result of the joint efforts of the entire nation, not of any single institution or personality. The Minister of State also mentioned the performance of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and said that he played an active role in the War Cabinet formed during the struggle for justice.
According to him, the responsibilities of the Interior Minister regarding internal affairs and coordination were of a significant nature.He further said that national unity and coordination among institutions are also necessary to meet future challenges.
