ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the Pakistan Army has destroyed the pride of India’s numerical superiority. He said Pakistan is a peace-loving country, but it is fully capable of responding to any aggression.
In his statement, the prime minister said that a clear message has been sent to India that territorial integrity and sovereignty must be respected. He said Operation Banyan Murad is a testament to our defense capability and resolve.
Expressing grief over the 40 innocent civilians, including women and children, who were martyred in the Indian attack, the Prime Minister said the nation has not forgotten its martyrs and will never forget them. Their families will not be spared.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the government has announced a martyr package, and it is the responsibility of the state to take full care of their families. He paid tribute to the officers and men of the Pakistan Army and Air Force, saying they have fulfilled their promise to the nation, and the entire nation is proud of their martyrs.
