Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s tribute to the outstanding performance of the FBR, committed to reforming the tax system

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif chaired a meeting on the performance of FBR soon after his return from a visit to Saudi Arabia, in which the performance of the concerned ministers and officials on the recovery of Rs 34.5 billion in windfall tax was appreciated.

The Prime Minister called for a comprehensive strategy to make the tax system more transparent and effective on a permanent basis. The meeting also discussed the tax cases pending in the courts, while the prime minister ordered strict action against those involved in tax evasion and corruption.
