Punjab government introduces new transport complaint system, hopes for immediate relief for the public

The Punjab government has introduced a modern complaint system for redressal of public complaints in public transport, through which passengers will be able to immediately report overcharging, rude behavior of drivers and other service-related issues.

According to officials, this new system has been developed to improve the quality of public transport in the province and provide safer and more reliable travel facilities to citizens. This initiative will not only resolve public complaints in a timely manner, but will also increase the trend of accountability among drivers and operators.

Sources say that this new system is an important part of the Transport 2030 Vision, under which modern, smart and eco-friendly travel facilities will be provided across the province.

According to transport department officials, citizens will be able to register their complaints through a mobile app or helpline, on which the relevant authorities will take immediate action.

Officials further said that this system will bring significant improvements in public welfare as well as government transparency and efficiency, thereby modernizing Punjab’s transport system.
