The Pakistan Stock Exchange rose after volatility during the trading session. The benchmark KSE-100 index rose 266 points to close at 170,765 points.
Investor activity in the market was affected by the global political situation. Investors traded cautiously, keeping an eye on the developments related to the ongoing dispute between Iran and the United States.
The index recorded a fluctuation of 1,269 points during the trading session. During this period, various trends of bullish and bearish trends were observed in the buying and selling of shares; however, at the end, the market remained in the positive zone.
A total of 480 million shares were traded in the stock market. Their value was recorded at Rs 19 billion, which reflects the ongoing business activities in the market.
On the other hand, the market capitalisation increased by Rs 25 billion, after which the total value was Rs 18,996 billion.
Despite the increase in the market, investors’ attention was focused on the global situation. Developments related to tensions between Iran and the United States may affect global financial markets, oil prices and investor confidence.
In the Pakistani stock market, along with global conditions, domestic economic indicators and investor expectations play an important role. The direction of the market in the upcoming trading sessions will depend on new developments related to these factors.
