Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman meets British High Commissioner

Islamabad: An important meeting was held in Islamabad between Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman and British High Commissioner Jane Marriott, in which regional and global issues were discussed.

During the meeting, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman briefed the British diplomat on Jamaat-e-Islami’s foreign and domestic policies. He stressed the need for a ceasefire in Gaza and immediate provision of humanitarian aid and highlighted the importance of resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with UN resolutions.

Discussing India’s water aggression, he said that Pakistan has the right to defend itself and the international community should seriously consider the issue.

The Ameer-e-Jamaat Islami also stressed the need to strengthen Pak-Afghan relations and maintain peace in the region.
