ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has lashed out at Narendra Modi, saying the days of the Indian Prime Minister are numbered and the decision will now be taken by the people of India.
Speaking to the media, Khawaja Asif said that Modi is being severely criticized inside and outside the parliament in India. He said that Modi tried to handle the situation in his address, but now it is too late.
Khawaja Asif said that three points will be discussed for possible talks with India, including terrorism, Kashmir, and the water issue. He claimed that TTP and BLA are agents of India and Pakistan has been a target of terrorism for 25 years.
According to the defense minister, Pakistan has always shown responsibility, and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also offered a transparent investigation into the incidents of terrorism. He said that Pakistan has suffered more than any other country in the war against terrorism.
Describing the Kashmir issue as an important part of the talks, Khawaja Asif said that India also tried to make the water issue controversial, while the Indus Waters Treaty could not be tampered with. He said that India has become an international terrorist, and there is evidence of this at the global level, which will be presented in future talks.
