Nepra’s big relief: Electricity price approved to reduce by Rs 1.89 per unit

Islamabad: Giving great news to the public, Nepra has approved reducing electricity price by Rs 1.89 per unit in the quarterly adjustment for April-June 2025, which will be applicable in the bills for August-October.

According to Nepra, this reduction will provide relief of more than Rs 55 billion 87 crore to consumers. However, Lifeline and prepaid meter consumers will not benefit from this facility.

In addition, electricity has also been reduced by 78 paisa per unit in the monthly adjustment for June across the country (except Karachi). Nepra has also issued a formal notification for this. This reduction will be applicable only to non-K-Electric consumers.
