Overseas Pakistanis remit $3.21 billion in July 2025

Islamabad: Overseas Pakistanis showed their love for their homeland by sending $3.21 billion to Pakistan in July 2025. According to the State Bank of Pakistan, these remittances are 5.5 percent less than June this year, but they have recorded a 7.4 percent increase compared to July 2024 last year.

The highest remittances came from Saudi Arabia at $823.7 million, followed by $665 million from the United Arab Emirates, $450 million from the United Kingdom, $420 million from the European Union, $295 million from other Gulf countries, while about $270 million was sent to Pakistan from the United States.

According to the State Bank, 55.5 percent of remittances came from the Middle East, which is a clear testament to the economic role and responsibility of Pakistanis in the region.

According to economic experts, an increase in remittances plays an important role in stabilizing the Pakistani rupee and supporting foreign exchange reserves, especially when the country is under pressure to pay imports and debts.
