Pakistan’s soil for all: Protecting rights of minorities, Khawaja Asif’s clear message

Sialkot: Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif stressed the importance of protecting the rights of minorities and treating them equally, saying that every citizen has an undivided right over the soil of Pakistan. He said this while addressing the Chief Minister Minority Card distribution function.

Khawaja Asif said that the rights of minorities have been protected in the Constitution of Pakistan, and tolerance is an important part of our religion. Appreciating the large number of the minority community in Sialkot, he said that the steps taken by the Punjab government for the minority community were a worthy tribute.

The Defence Minister further said that the Chief Minister of Punjab has a huge role in protecting the rights of minorities, and his efforts have provided better opportunities to the minority community. Khawaja Muhammad Asif also stressed that every citizen has equal rights on the soil of Pakistan, irrespective of his religion or sect. He said that we should promote tolerance in our society, as it is part of our religion and national values. The event was also attended by the representatives of the minority community, who appreciated the initiatives taken by the Punjab government for them.
