PSX down; the 100 index falls 752 points

On the second day of the business week at the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the market faced pressure from the beginning due to uncertainty, and this negative trend continued till the end of the day. At the close of trading, the 100 index closed at 160,935 points with a loss of 752 points.

The index fluctuated at various levels during the day. The market reached a low of 160,583 points at one point, while the index also reached a high of 162,344 points during trading.

Today, investors bought and sold a total of 1.54 billion shares, worth about Rs 38.78 billion. The day was relatively active in terms of trading volume, but the pressure on the index remained.

It should be noted that the 100 index had closed at 161,687 points yesterday; thus, today brought a clear bearishness to the market.
