The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially announced the new schedule for by-elections in five constituencies across Punjab, including Faisalabad and Sahiwal districts.
According to the ECP, by-elections will be held in NA-96, NA-104, NA-143, PP-98 and PP-203, with polling scheduled for November 23, 2025.
A spokesperson for the Punjab Election Commission clarified that October 24 is the last date for filing appeals against the decisions of the Returning Officers, while the Appellate Tribunal will complete its hearing by October 31. The revised list of candidates will be released on November 1, followed by withdrawal on November 3 and allotment of election symbols on November 4.
He added that the ECP issued this schedule under the Election Act 2017 and has directed all candidates and parties to strictly follow the election code of conduct.
The upcoming by-elections are expected to generate significant political activity, with local party leaders already preparing for a tough campaign season.
