Heavy fines imposed for violation of traffic rules, motorcyclists should be careful

The Traffic Police has announced stricter penalties for citizens violating the rules under the new policy. Now motorcyclists will have to pay a fine of Rs 2,000 for each violation, while in case of repeated or multiple violations, a maximum fine of Rs 20,000 can be imposed.

According to police officials, while in the past the amount of fines was between Rs 100 and Rs 500, now all fines have been significantly increased according to the new schedule. In particular, drivers of vehicles with engines of more than 2,000 cc will be fined up to Rs 20,000 for exceeding the speed limit.

According to sources, additional fines will also be imposed for certain violations of traffic rules. In case of signal violation, overloading or driving in the wrong direction, the driver will have to pay a fine of up to Rs 15,000.

Police officials have clarified that the aim of the new policy is to create traffic awareness among the citizens and significantly reduce the accident rate.
